Opal Facts

The original 5 holders:

Of the original five Opal holders (Tisman, Imp, Eros, Nova, and Ulath), none ever held an opal after their initial reign.

Of the original Opal holders, Ulath held his the longest (258 days) and Imp the shortest (30 days).

Of the original Opals, three (Tisman, Ulath, Imp) successfully defended one time, but none did so twice.

To date, fifty-two (52) individual duelers have held the Opal title. Of these, 43 are men and 9 are women.

Shannon Kimberly Colton became the first female to hold an Opal (IceDancer).

Of the former and current Opal holders, thirty-eight (38) have only held one title, leaving fourteen (14) duelers with multiple title winnings.
